The United Church of Canada was founded in 1925 as a merger of: the Methodist Church of Canada, the Congregational Union of Ontario and Quebec, much of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Association of Local Union Churches. A church has stood on our site since 1886.
The Banff thrift shop, Rundle United Thrift, connects to our congregation’s mission by making affordable clothing and household items available to members of the community , which they otherwise could not afford.
From the earliest gatherings of Christians we discover that they lived in community . Acts 2 “all the believers continued together in close fellowship…they had their meals together , and gave to those in need.”
