A Warm Welcome: To our friends from St. Georges-in-the-Pines Anglican Church who will be joining us for service this Sunday at 10.30am. Two weeks ago we joined them for worship at St. George’s. On Sunday, Rev. George Belcher will be offering the sermon. We invite everyone to remain following worship for coffee, tea, and other refreshments in the Lonsdale Lounge.
Thank you: To Sharon Fish and her helpers, who will gather at 9:30 on Sunday morning to fold palm fronds and prepare muffins and coffee.

Alternative Worship Wednesday 7.30pm – 8.45pm in Lonsdale Lounge: As you know we’ve been gathering for this different approach to worship since last fall, usually Wednesday nights. We will be continuing through to the end of April, and then taking a break in May before resuming. Next week, Holy Week, our focus will be the Passion of Christ. We hope you can join us for this time of sharing, discussion, prayer, and reflection next Wednesday, April 4th, 7:30-8:45pm in Lonsdale Lounge.
Oh What a Night: The Valley Winds Big Band and the Midnight Blue Jazz Band will be playing for you to dance and enjoy at the Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore on Saturday April 7 from 8pm until midnight. Tickets $30
Holy Week services: Good Friday – April 6th, 10am. A quiet service of prayer, scripture and song focusing on the Crucifixion. Easter Sunday – April 8th, 10am. A joyful, celebratory, inter-generational service for everyone, rejoicing in the Resurrection.
Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?: An event to raise money for the Mission and Services fund of the United Church of Canada. A great way to meet new people and be creative in the kitchen! For further details please see the flyer and sign-up sheets located in Lonsdale Lounge.
Remit Input Deadline, April 29: You may recall our 4-Sunday worship series in January, looking at a variety of faith statements that will receive consideration this summer at General Council as subordinate standards (Statement of Faith – 1940, A New Creed, A Song of Faith). Before the Board sends off the final response from Rundle in early May, all of us will have a chance to share comments with Board members after worship Sunday, April 29th. Mark it on your calendar!
