About Us

Our Mission

We strive to follow Christ’s example in reaching out in love and friendship to all.
We are committed to full inclusion of people, of any age, race, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, or personal circumstance, in all aspects of our life together.
We are called, in and with the larger community, to grow in faith through study, prayer, and service; to make known God’s gracious presence; and to show loving concern to all Creation.

What We Believe

We are a community that encourages open questions to spiritual matters and that engages in honest, respectful conversation. With a passion for Social Justice and a belief in the equality & dignity of all people we welcome anyone interested in spirituality to stop by.

About Our Church

Rundle Memorial United Church is a place of warm welcome, where our church family and visitors may experience meaningful worship, pastoral care, fellowship and the presence of God in life and in the world.

Our History

Rundle Memorial United Church is named after Reverend Robert T. Rundle, the first Christian missionary to arrive in Banff. A church has stood on the corner of Banff Avenue and Buffalo Street since 1886, the first to be built in Banff. Our present building was constructed in 1927, following the 1925 formation of the United Church of Canada. The United Church is a denominational union of Canadian Methodists, Congregationalists, and Presbyterians.   click to read more…
